Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Welcomes New Board Member
Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is excited to welcome its newest board member, Sovanna Pouv, Executive Director of the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association of Greater Lowell (CMAA).
Pouv joins the Credit Union’s Board of Directors with more than fifteen years’ experience working for organizations geared towards cultural and social improvement within the local community. Prior to his role at the CMAA, Pouv held several positions at the United Teen Equality Center (UTEC). A long-time Lowell resident, Pouv was born in the Khao-I-Dang refugee camp in Thailand. He moved to Chicago with his family in 1981, where he lived for seven years before moving to Lowell to be closer to family.
“Sovanna has so much to offer our Board,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We are very proud and excited to welcome him and know his community experience, and passion for giving back, will be a great asset to the Credit Union,” he added.
Pouv, now the youngest Board member, currently resides in Lowell with his wife, Lianna Kushi, daughter, Bryanna Pouv, and mother, Roun Sok. He holds an associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Middlesex Community College. In addition to Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, he also serves on the Board for the Greater Lowell Health Alliance, Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board, the Lowell Development and Financial Corporation and more.
